Books like Into the storm by Taylor Anderson

When the USS Walker, a venerable World War II four‑stack destroyer, is sent into battle as Japanese forces advance in the Pacific, its captain, Lieutenant Commander Matthew Patrick Reddy, makes a desperate decision. He steers the ship into a sudden squall, hoping to escape pursuit, but instead the squadron emerges in a completely different realm. Familiar coastlines are warped by monstrous, vicious fish in the seas, and dinosaurs graze the plains of an alien Bali. In this alternate future, humans have not evolved, yet two other sentient species have risen to power and are embroiled in a brutal conflict. With its powerful steam engines and weaponry, the Walker’s existence threatens to tip the balance of this primitive war. Reddy and his crew must quickly decide where their allegiance lies, knowing that each side could spell either salvation or devastating annihilation for the world they now inhabit.
