Books like The Last 10 Seconds by Simon Kernick

Simon Kernick’s thriller follows Sean Egan, a former undercover officer who has spent the last decade embedded in London’s most dangerous criminal circles. When the gang he infiltrated demands he steal the serial killer known as The Night Creeper from police custody, Egan must improvise a daring rescue. The Night Creeper, a brutally violent yet intelligent killer, was recently arrested after torturing five young women, only to claim a solid alibi and knowledge that could prove his innocence and implicate another. Meanwhile, former policewoman Tina Boyd, who originally brought the killer to justice, is determined to locate the escaped convict before those who intend to silence him strike. With Egan’s experience, Boyd’s relentless pursuit, and the killer’s merciless threat, the trio race through London’s shadows in a high‑stakes game where survival hinges on every decision.
