Lexi Stuart has finished college but is still living at home, unable to secure a job, and caught between two boyfriends. A casual conversation in French with the manager of her favorite bakery turns into an unexpected job offer. The position offers little glamour and low pay, and Lexi’s co‑workers remain skeptical while her parents stay disappointed. Amid this uncertainty, a flirtatious baker catches her eye, but his true identity may be uncertain. One day, a handsome young executive arrives at the bakery to pick up a special order for an important meeting—an order Lexi has mishandled. During the tense encounter, Lexi breaks free from her desire to please everyone and declares, “Let them eat cake!”, invoking a historical reference and a personal awakening. That moment sparks an internal revolution. Instead of attempting to meet others’ expectations, Lexi embarks on a journey of faith, trusting God with her future as she navigates the challenges of early adulthood. With themes of young womanhood, career struggles, faith, and self‑discovery, this Christian fiction novel follows Lexi’s transition from reliance on external approval to embracing a God‑guided path.
