Misty Gordon, a teenage assistant to her father, runs an estate and antiques business in her New England hometown. While sorting through old items, she finds a mysterious journal and a pair of eyeglasses that grant her the ability to see ghosts. Among these spectral visitors are the pirate founders of her town, who are haunted by the legend of a golden statue with mystical powers. As Misty navigates the hidden histories of her family and the town, she must help the restless pirates complete their quest and find peace. This engaging junior mystery blends family dynamics, supernatural intrigue, and the allure of antiques. Misty's adventure invites readers to explore New England’s maritime past while uncovering hidden treasures—both literal and spiritual—through the paranormal lens of inherited glasses.
