Books like Star Wars - Legacy of the Force - Sacrifice by Karen Traviss

In the midst of a civil war, the Galactic Alliance—led by Cal Omas and Jedi Master Luke Skywalker—fights a breakaway coalition of planets, including the rebellious Corellia. Han and Leia Solo, suspected in an assassination plot against Queen Mother Tenel Ka of the Hapes Consortium, are hunted by their own son, Jacen Solo, whose authoritarian tactics as head of Alliance security alarm his father and nephew, Mara Skywalker. Ardent troops and citizens alike see Jacen as a savior, yet he wrestles with the shadow of his Sith grandfather, Darth Vader, and the teachings of Lumiya, the Dark Lady of the Sith, who promises peace at a cost. To prove himself and unlock true Sith power, he must bring about the death of someone he loves, forcing him to choose who will be the ultimate sacrifice. The choices and consequences threaten to shatter two powerful families and cast a grim future over the galaxy.
