Books like Not that I could tell by Jessica Strawser

During a carefree evening in Yellow Springs, a group of neighborhood women, sipping wine around a backyard fire pit, celebrate a rare night free of childcare. Their convivial gathering is disrupted when one friend vanishes without explanation. "Not That I Could Tell" follows the ensuing investigation, as residents uncover layers of personal drama—Kristin, a twin mother and college administrator embroiled in a looming divorce; her husband Paul, who becomes a focal point of suspicion; Clara, a long‑time neighbor haunted by past memories; and Izzy, the newest family to the area whose own crisis complicates the search. As the police probe turns from a media circus into a cold case, the tight‑knit community is forced to examine the hidden corners of their intertwined lives and question how well they actually know one another.
