Books like Genesis by Brendan Reichs

The 64 members of Fire Lake’s sophomore class arrive on a remote campus thinking it is just another academic term—only to discover that the environment has abandoned society’s rules and morality. In a realm where no law applies, their survival depends on scrambling and adapting to impossible demands. Noah, scarred and hardened by previous deaths, becomes the unlikely leader. His experience forces him to navigate the ruthless dynamics of power, trust, and betrayal as he guides the strongest among them toward an uncertain future—any cost to escape. While the narrative leans heavily into survival‑stakes, the novel raises questions about ethics and authority in a world stripped of structure. As the characters confront both external dangers and internal conflicts, readers witness the transformation of a group of teenagers into a cohesive unit fighting for their lives. The story blends the tension of science‑fiction scenarios with the emotional intensity found in children’s fiction, exploring conspiracy themes and the moral crises faced when society’s safety nets collapse.
