Books like The worry week by Anne Lindbergh

When their parents accidentally leave their family summer house on a remote Maine island open, siblings Allegra, Tessa, and Poppy find themselves the sole guardians of the home. With no adult supervision, the trio must turn to ingenuity and teamwork to survive the week. While scavenging for food, they also embark on a thrilling hunt for a rumored buried treasure that promises to bring adventure and unexpected lessons about trust, perseverance, and the value of family. Set against the rugged, windswept backdrop of the Maine coast, the story blends the excitement of a treasure‑hunt with the quiet moments of island life. Along the way, the sisters discover that the greatest rewards often lie in the relationships they build rather than in any chest of gold. The book highlights themes of independence, sibling camaraderie, and resourcefulness, appealing to middle‑grade readers who enjoy adventure and realistic family dynamics.
