Books like Heart of Fire by Victoria Holmes

Maddie Harman has not seen her brother since he went to war and she moved to Sefton Park with their grandparents. When Theo suddenly returns, Maddie rejoices at the chance to reunite her family. Theo brings a stunning mare from Zanzibar named Firebird, and though she is not an experienced rider, Maddie quickly falls in love with the horse and discovers that Firebird is a champion jumper, fitting perfectly into the estate’s equestrian life. However, Theo’s nervousness masks a mystery: on a stormy night a young man arrives and introduces himself as Theo Harman. The family is shocked when the newcomer claims to be the real brother, and Maddie must decide if the first Theo is an imposter and what will become of Firebird. The story blends themes of family reunion, mistaken identity, and horsemanship, set against the backdrop of Sefton Park and the excitement of competitive riding.
