Books like The Paradiso Files by Timothy M. Burke

In *The Paradiso Files*, former homicide prosecutor Timothy M. Burke presents a compelling investigation into Leonard (Lenny) Paradiso, a man who had been convicted of assaulting a young woman, paroled after three years, and later alleged to have committed a series of murders in the Boston area. Burke, through meticulous research and interviews with prosecutors and investigators, argues that Paradiso was a serial killer who operated for nearly fifteen years, responsible for the deaths of up to seven young women, including Harvard graduate student Joan Webster, who vanished from Logan Airport in 1981. The book caused headlines upon its 2008 release and led to the reopening of unsolved cases involving Melodie Stankiewicz, Holly Davidson, and Kathy Williams. Burke’s narrative examines the minds of the legal and law‑enforcement professionals involved and suggests that Paradiso’s crimes should be remembered alongside those of the Boston Strangler.
