Books like Jane Austen's First love by Syrie James

Fifteen‑year‑old Jane Austen yearns to be useful, write something worth reading, and fall deeply in love. While visiting her brother in Kent for his engagement celebrations, she encounters the wealthy and striking Edward Taylor, whose charm and presence capture her heart. Despite recognizing that a match with Edward is unlikely, every moment together stirs her feelings, and he appears to reciprocate. Jane’s growing uncertainty leads her to meddle in the relationships of three other prospective couples, hoping to engineer happy pairings. The unexpected outcomes of her matchmaking reveal the folly of judging hearts by first impressions and the limits of controlling love and marriage. Ultimately, Jane confronts the delicate balance between personal desire, societal expectations, and the unpredictable nature of the human heart.
