Books like The Clone Republic by Steven L. Kent

The year 2508 has seen humanity spread across the six arms of the Milky Way, yet Earth remains under the iron grip of the Unified Authority (U.A.). The Authority’s elite military is composed almost entirely of clones, bred for perfection and loyalty. Private First-Class Wayson Harris is one such clone, raised in a U.A. orphanage where countless others are trained to be the ultimate soldiers. Unlike most of his kind, Harris possesses a rebellious mind that sets him apart. Harris’s first assignment takes him to the smallest Marine outpost in the entire U.A.—a dunest world in the desert, perceived as a dead‑end posting. When a rogue general launches a raid, Harris’s unwavering spirit turns the outpost into a battleground. His valor earns a promotion, but it also draws unwanted attention from senior U.A. leaders who harbor their own plans for the clone army. Harris’s very existence threatens their plans, and in an army built on uniformity, being different is the ultimate crime.
