Books like The stranger she loved by Shanna Hogan

In 2007, Dr. Martin MacNeill, a physician, lawyer and Mormon bishop, found his wife of 30 years, former beauty queen Michele MacNeill, dead in the bathtub of their Pleasant Grove, Utah home. Her face bore the scars of a facelift she had undergone a week earlier, a procedure the doctor had persuaded her to accept. At first her death seemed natural, but the MacNeill children grew suspicious when their father brought a young mistress into the family house. Their own investigation revealed a man with multiple marital affairs, a past criminal record, and falsified college transcripts he had used to deceive into medical school. The case, which ultimately took six years to resolve, culminated in the conviction of Martin MacNeill for first‑degree murder. True crime author Shanna Hogan chronicles the high‑profile case, exposing the monster behind the doctor’s carefully curated façade.
