Books like Rotten School #9 - Party Poopers by Robert Lawrence Stine

At Rotten School, Bernie Brings his solid plan for dancing with April‑May June to school life. April‑May June, however, has no interest in the boy who thinks she’s the hottest girl in the fourth grade. When Jennifer Ecch—known as the Nightmare Girl—steps in to ask Bernie to the school dance, he must decide whether to give up his dream or trick her into thinking he’s not good enough for her. "Long‑distance snot‑blowing contests" and other wacky scheming have no effect on the determined Jennifer, proving that she loves Bernie regardless of his plans. The story follows Bernie’s humorous and awkward attempts to manage his crushes and classmates while navigating the absurdities of high school dance culture. Set in a boarding‑school‑like environment, the book captures the challenges of first‑love experiences and humor provides a relatable perspective on rivalry, dating customs, and the pressure of social acceptance among children.
