Books like Shadow Falling by Rebecca Zanetti

Vivienne Wellington, once the FBI’s top profiler, survives the Scorpius Syndrome outbreak that nearly wipes out the North American population. Traumatized by her confinement, she mistrusts everyone but is drawn to Raze Shadow, a formidable and enigmatic figure whose military background and ties to the Mercenaries complicate his motives. In a fractured, post‑apocalyptic landscape that no longer values government, Vivienne must navigate danger, uncertainty, and a complex attraction while balancing her instincts and the need for survival. The story explores themes of trust, survival, and the psychological toll of a pandemic, blending elements of romantic suspense, dystopian action, and crime profiling. Escalating tension is fueled by the unseen threat of Scorpius Syndrome and the secrets surrounding Raze’s true identity.
