Books like Geek abroad by Piper Banks

Miranda Bloom enjoys a snapshot of teenage bliss: a near‑perfect relationship with Dex McConnell, the star lacrosse player of Orange Cove High, and a steady rhythm of school activities. When the holiday break compels her to visit her mother in London, Derby’s interest in her suddenly fades, and a cute, very‑available British guy named Henry arrives, charming Miranda and stirring up fresh feelings. Back at Florida’s Orange Cove High—also known as Geek High—Miranda’s challenges multiply. She must navigate the demanding Math Team competitions, deal with an over‑enthusiastic best friend, and confront a stepmother who appears to relish making her miserable. The semester ahead looks exceptionally difficult for a young teenager who is suddenly juggling new love interests, family tensions, and academic pressure.
