Following the fall of the Terran Empire in the late twenty‑fourth century, the Klingon‑Cardassian Alliance has taken control of worlds that, in another reality, formed the United Federation of Planets. Humanity and its former subject races live as subjugated peoples under brutal conquerors. Against this bleak backdrop, a few courageous individuals seize the chance to resist oppression. Inspired by visitors from another continuum, they ignite a spark of hope and remember an ancient truth: every revolution begins with a vision. As rebels plot and align, they confront a mysterious ship that has been catapulted seventy thousand light‑years across the galaxy, carrying alien passengers whose presence could alter the balance of power. Simultaneously, former slave Chakotay commands a rebel vessel that evades pursuit in the Badlands, while M'k'nzy, a savage Xenexian, learns the value of freedom from an unlikely teacher. Kira Nerys navigates political intrigue and military plans for a decisive strike against the Alliance, setting the stage for a showdown that could change the course of the Mirror Universe.
