Books like The silver witch by Paula Brackston

After her husband dies unexpectedly, ceramic artist Tilda Fordwells relocates to a quiet Welsh cottage, hoping the peace will soothe her grief. Yet the valley lake seems to awaken a dormant sensitivity inside her: animals are drawn to her, devices fail nearby, and she sees startling visions. One such vision shows a boat of ancient people arriving across the waters, revealing the story of Seren, a respected but feared witch and shaman who lived in the same lake during Celtic times. Seren warned Prince Brynach of a betrayal from within, a prediction that seems to echo in Tilda’s present. As Tilda’s grief subsides, she learns to embrace her newfound powers and a new romance, but a dark force threatens to repeat the tragedy of the past. Relying on Seren’s ancient magic, Tilda must protect her life and the village from disaster.
