Books like Of books and bagpipes by Paige Shelton
Delaney Nichols has settled into her new life in Edinburgh, working at the Cracked Spine, a bookshop that specializes in rare manuscripts and historical objects. Her new boss, Edwin MacAlister, entrusts her with an important task: retrieve a hard‑to‑find edition of the Scottish comic "Oor Wullie" from Castle Doune. During the trip, Delaney spots a coffin‑clad figure on the castle roof, a suspicious and dead body that looks like the man who was supposed to deliver the comic. She finds the torn pages of the comic and, believing the plot to be a simple theft, hides them to protect herself. Returning to Cracked Spine, she realizes that the situation is far more complex and that her life may be in danger as she uncovers a murder investigation tied to the comic.
