Books like Dead run (Monkeewrench #3) by P. J. Tracy

When computer game founders Grace MacBride and Annie Belinsky, along with Wisconsin deputy Sharon Mueller, are heading to Green Bay after a last‑minute call about a serial killer, their car stalls deep in the northern woods. A brief walk leads them to Four Corners, an eerily silent township where phone lines are severed and no one is alive. The calm quickly turns to terror when they witness a brutal double murder. Now, trapped and hunted, the women must outwit a sinister plot that could end not only their lives but countless others in this isolated community. Set in Wisconsin’s rural north and the fictional town of Four Corners, the story blends police procedural tension with mystery and thriller elements. The trio’s backgrounds—technology, law, and law enforcement—add depth to their struggle against a serial killer and a broader conspiracy hidden within the small town’s silence.
