Books like It Wasn't Me by Oliver Jeffers

Oliver Jeffers brings the mischievous Hueys to life in this humorous picture book that explores how even the simplest arguments can quickly turn into bigger conflicts. Painted with Jeffers’ signature playful style, the story follows the Hueys as they wrestle with what they disagree on, revealing the absurdity that can arise from a single point of contention. Packed with bright illustrations, the book encourages readers—young and old—to reflect on family dynamics, sibling relationships, and the importance of understanding when we disagree. A charming exploration of the fun and challenges of interpersonal relationships, this book is an engaging visual and narrative journey that invites readers to question how disputes quickly grow before urging a return to humor, resolution, and, perhaps, a little insight into how to navigate conflict within a family life.
