Books like Claimed by the Laird by Nicola Cornick

Lady Christina McMorlan, now past thirty, is regarded by society as an old maid despite her high birth as the daughter of the Duke of Forres. She manages her father’s social affairs and looks after her siblings, accepting that she will never have her own home or family. Yet, by night she transforms into The Lady, the ruthless leader of a notorious whiskey‑smuggling gang that keeps the impoverished clan of the Forres name alive. Their profits always stay a step ahead of the revenue men—until Lucas Black arrives. Cast aside by the society that rejected his mother, Lucas runs a successful gambling house and secretly spies for the Crown, tasked with dismantling the Forres smuggling operations. He mistakes The Lady for a bored spinster, while she sees him as a rebellious youth. When their secrets surface, their romance and their lives hang in the balance.
