📘 Desecration of my kingdom by Mutesa II King of Buganda.

This memoir, penned by His Highness Kabaka Mutesa II of Buganda, provides a vivid account of his reign and the tumultuous events that eroded his authority. It details Britain’s 1950s decision to withdraw recognition of his kingship and outlines his subsequent loss of control over Buganda and Uganda in the 1960s. Though highly political and not fully reliable, the narrative offers essential insight into Buganda’s 20th‑century political status. Readers interested in the historical dynamics of Buganda and Uganda during the mid‑twentieth century will find this work a valuable resource for understanding the interplay between colonial policy and local sovereignty.
