Books like The next person you meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom

In the sequel to the bestselling The Five People You Meet in Heaven, Mitch Albom returns to the grief‑laden world of amusement parks and celestial encounters. The story follows Annie, the young girl whose life Eddie saved as an amusement park mechanic. Years after the accident that cost Eddie his life, Annie’s life has been forever altered by injury, memory loss, and a tumultuous upbringing. As an adult, she reconnects with a former lover, sets off on a hopeful new chapter, and then faces an unforeseen tragedy that sends her on a solitary journey to the afterlife. There she meets Eddie again—and the other souls who will reveal how her life, too, mattered in ways she never imagined. A poetic exploration of loss, redemption, and the cyclical nature of existence, The Next Person You Meet in Heaven is a moving testament to the idea that every ending can become a new beginning.
