Kin Stewart is a modern IT worker who, beneath the surface, once served as a time‑traveling secret agent for the year 2142. After a mission goes awry, he has been stranded in suburban San Francisco since the 1990s, hiding his past while contending with increasing blackouts and memory loss. Now, a rescue team arrives—eighteen years late—to take him back to the future where another family awaits, a family he can no longer remember. Torn between his current life and a dangerous future, Kin strives to protect his teenage daughter Miranda and prevent the collapse of the agency and history itself. His final desperate journey across time threatens to break all rules of his chronal world. The novel weaves family dynamics, the conflict of duty versus personal bonds, and the ethical quandaries of time‑travel, delivering a pulse‑pounding adventure grounded in the emotional stakes of fatherhood and memory.
