Books like Die protestantische Ethik und der Geist des Kapitalismus by Max Weber

In *The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism*, Max Weber challenges Marxist dialectical materialism by showing how Calvinist doctrines of hard work and moral duty fostered the conditions for capitalist development. Drawing from the original 1905 German text, this edition supplies an illuminating introduction, extensive explanatory notes, and Weber’s unexpurgated responses to his critics, shedding light on his evolving arguments and clarifying key concepts. The volume thus provides a thorough analysis of the intersection between Protestant religious values and economic transformation.

Ética para Amador by 7062760|Fernando Savater book cover
