As animals in the Serengeti prepare for the annual migration, Hippo is having a bad day. The only good thing about his day is that he is sick and has a toothache, making it hard for him to talk. However, his lack of communication skills is being noticed by the other animals. They all come up with stories about Hippo, but each is too afraid to tell the truth. To make matters worse, Hippo starts to act funny, and the other animals become worried that he will destroy the Serengeti itself. One day, Hippo is forced to communicate with the other animals and realizes that he is not the center of attention. He decides to tell the truth about why he is sick and the real reason for his strange behavior, and the other animals cheer him up. The lesson: Being open and honest is the best way to get through any situation.
