Books like Highland ruse by Madeline Martin

Kaid MacLeod cannot protect his clan from a brutal slaughter that killed his father and many of his people. Though he fears that retaliation will only bring more death, his clan demands revenge and all seems lost, until Kaid discovers that his nemesis’s betrothed will be traveling through Scotland. Capturing this innocent woman could give Kaid the leverage he needs to halt the violence and restore peace to his clan, even though he is reluctant to do so. Delilah Canterbury—once a poor girl who dreamt of serving King James—has survived betrayal and captured by a group of female spies who trained her in lethal skills. Now, posing as Lady Elizabeth de‑Raine, the daughter of a noble and the fiancée of a Scottish laird, she is a target in the war between clans. Kidnapped by Kaid, Delilah’s mission as a decoy is almost finished, but her growing attraction to the man she must deceive could jeopardize both their lives and the future of the clans.
