Books like If I were you by Leslie Margolis
When Katie, a 12‑year‑old, becomes obsessed with the notion that her best friend Melody might feel jealous of her, the two girls decide to fulfill each other’s wishes simultaneously—exactly the same wish, at precisely the same time. Their wish is granted, and the next summer turns into an adventurous tale of role reversal. As they experience each other's daily routines, friendships, and insecurities, both girls come to realize that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. With humor, heart, and a touch of magic, the story explores themes of jealousy, friendship, identity, self‑esteem, and the value of empathy.
