Books like Where It Began by Kathleen Pickering

After a tragic boating accident, Amelia Santiago is left with stubborn blanks in her memory. Hoping that the familiar waters of the Bahamas might trigger recollections, she reaches out to Daniel Del Rio—her once‑fiancé, now reluctant but ultimately compelled to help. Their shared past is complex and bittersweet; Daniel still carries the weight of the night that changed their lives and the guilt of what he thinks he did. As they sail together, the close quarters force Daniel to reopen old wounds, while Amelia’s heart drifts toward the man she thought she could no longer love. The trip becomes a test of endurance, forgiveness, and the possibility of starting afresh. In a story that balances heart and tension, Daniel must decide whether to confess his role in the accident, knowing that the truth could either break all hope or pave the way for a new beginning. Set within the lush backdrop of the Caribbean, this contemporary romance explores the resilience of love when memory and grief collide, making readers wonder if the past can be rewritten when both partners are willing to face it together.
