Books like Making Over Mr. Right by Judi McCoy

Theo Maragos, a successful businessman poised to appear in a major magazine, is secretly a computer geek whose identity is being transformed by Zoe, the Muse of Beauty, who is on exile from Mount Olympus. Zoe’s mission is to change Theo from a nerdy, wire‑framed figure into a dashing, tall, dark, and handsome man. As she sharpens his look with a close shave, new dimples, and a devilish twinkle in his blue eyes, Theo’s newfound confidence attracts attention. Yet Zoe is warned that falling in love with a mortal is forbidden. The story follows her struggle to keep her heart safe while preventing her own heart from falling for Theo, the man she was sent to make "Mr. Right" for. Themes of mythology, romance, transformation, and the conflict between duty and desire thread the narrative, offering a playful take on the classic love‑and‑self‑discovery trope.
