Books like It had to be you by Jill Churchill

Lily and Robert Brewster, siblings fresh into their roles at a local nursing home in New York, find their quiet workdays routinely disrupted. A routine shift ends with the untimely death of a cranky patient, Mr. Connor, whose passing appears sudden and unremarkable. However, the Brewsters soon discover the circumstances surrounding Mr. Connor’s death raise more questions than answers. What started as a routine case turns into a complex investigation when the evidence suggests foul play, leaving the siblings on a race against time to uncover the truth before another victim falls victim to a killer. As they navigate staff dynamics, family expectations, and the pressure of a small community, Lily and Robert must use their intuition, knowledge of the home’s inner workings, and their bond to untangle a web of motives behind the murders. With each clue that emerges, the mystery deepens, drawing the Brewsters into a dangerous game where the line between caregiver and suspect blurs.
