Books like Secret island by Jane Aiken Hodge

Secret Island follows Daphne Vernon, whose love has left her physically and emotionally shattered. When her cousin Sophia, the ruler of the hidden Greek haven Temi, summons her, Daphne hopes to find refuge in the island’s serene, spiritual sanctuary. Temi is portrayed as a utopia, a place of peace and renewal that offers relief to a world riddled with greed and brutality. Daphne soon learns that Sophia has plans that intertwine her life with the destiny of the whole island. As Daphne’s heart begins to heal and her capacity for love is renewed, external and internal forces begin to converge, threatening to shatter the utopia. Faced with violent factions both within and outside the island, Daphne must decide whether she possesses the strength and wisdom required to safeguard Temi and its extraordinary, hidden secrets before the perfect society crumbles.
