Books like Down the rabbit hole by Holly Madison

Holly Madison’s memoir chronicles how a spontaneous decision at age twenty‑one propelled young Oregon native Holly Sue Cullen into the spotlight as Hugh Hefner’s #1 girlfriend. Inside the Playboy Mansion, she experienced celebrity parties and a nationally broadcast television show, yet the reality behind the glitz involved strict rules, manipulation, and personal battles. Madison candidly recounts the abuse, drug use, and raw behind‑the‑scenes moments with fellow housemates Bridget and Kendra, as well as her relationship with Hefner. After losing her sense of self, she confronted mental health challenges before choosing to take control of her life. The book follows her subsequent struggles, the creation of a successful television series, and her eventual healing efforts, including a notable appearance on a dance competition show. It serves as both a cautionary tale and a celebration of personal empowerment.
