Books like When the sun goes down by Gwynne Forster

When the Sun Goes Down tells the story of three adult siblings who, after their father's sudden death, realize that his will—though never left out in the open—holds the key to understanding a family long fraught with hidden truths. The children enlist a private investigator, setting off a search that brings them closer to the buried document and, more importantly, to each other. As the investigation unfolds, old tensions surface and long‑held secrets surface, prompting each sibling to confront their own unresolved feelings. Through their collective struggle, they discover that the true inheritance is not a legal document, but the renewed bonds and shared history that they must mend. This powerful narrative examines themes of inheritance, sibling loyalty, and the complex dynamics that shape African American family life, all woven into a suspenseful tale of reunion and redemption.
