Books like The greatest trade ever by Gregory Zuckerman

In 2006 John Paulson, a hedge‑fund manager with a background in mergers and acquisitions, recognized that the U.S. housing market and subprime mortgages were overvalued and poised for collapse. With little real‑estate expertise, he and a small group of investors—including Jeffrey Greene and Michael Burry—began purchasing complex derivative instruments that bet against risky mortgages and financial firms. Despite initial losses while the market rose, Paulson doubled his positions. When the markets began to implode in the summer of 2007, his strategy produced early profits, and by year‑end he had earned more than $15 billion for his firm—a figure that eclipsed George Soros’s 1992 currency trade. The book chronicles Paulson’s daring move, the reactions of Wall Street’s titans, and the fortunes and failures that followed.
