Books like Love Once & Forever by Flora Speer

Laura, a young beachcomber in New Jersey, finds a curious piece of aquamarine glass that turns out to be a miniature time‑machine. The device transports her back 30,000 years to a world under threat from an approaching asteroid. She is joined in this prehistoric adventure by Kentir, the leader of the asteroid‑destruction project, and a team of unlikely allies: Hua Te, a Chinese mage; Chac, an Aztec priest; and Marica, a woman from the 23rd century. Together with Kentir, his brother Thuban, and several friends, they must race against time to devise a solution, all while navigating the unique environment of ancient Issa, a land that blends northern seas with tropical vegetation around a luminous, airy white headquarters. The story blends elements of time travel, historical adventure, and romance, exploring how people from different backgrounds and eras collaborate under extraordinary circumstances.
