Books like The wild rose by Daisy Vivian

Four years after the events of *Rose White* and *Rose Red*, Meg is a young adult committed to the Jacobite cause and the Lady Sabella movement. She employs her street smarts and recently developed Quality skills to gather intelligence for the rebels, who are struggling to survive. In London she encounters two possible allies—or enemies—Jared Allmonses, a young actor and younger son of an Earl, and Robert Dellanoy, a mysterious writer suspected of producing treasonous pamphlets. Meg spies on both men, while Dellanoy secretly trains her to speak and act like a lady, sparking her passion for the stage. When Lady Sabella flees, Meg stays behind at Dellanoy’s house, where an eccentric housekeeper named Phoenix watches over her. She rises to stardom as the actress Meg Angelus, attracting the attention of a sophisticated gentleman named Peregrine, who claims Jacobite sympathies but has many enemies, including Dellanoy. Jared also falls for Meg, hoping to prove himself as the perfect husband. Amid these relationships Meg faces a dilemma: her growing affection for Dellanoy versus the practical opportunities presented by Jared and the threats that surround them all.
