Books like The sublime and spirited voyage of Original Sin by Colette Moody

The story opens in the Gulf of Mexico in 1702, where the pirate crew of the square‑rigger “Original Sin” seize a wounded doctor and, upon realizing that he can’t be tended in the open sea, decide to take his attractive fiancée, Celia Pierce, a local seamstress. Celia and the captain’s daughter, Gayle “Madman’s” Malvern, find themselves thrust together on an unexpected journey through the Caribbean. As they navigate dangerous waters—facing gypsies, prostitutes, mercenaries, and slave traders—their unlikely partnership grows. While Gayle initially sees Celia as a welcome distraction, a deeper attraction develops, complicating their quest for safety. The novel weaves lesbian romance, historical detail, and the thrilling lifestyle of women pirates into a narrative that explores both peril and passion in the Caribbean of the early 18th century.
