Books like Odessa Sea by Clive Cussler

In "Odessa Sea," Clive Cussler’s seasoned hero, Dirk Pitt, director of the National Underwater and Marine Agency, is on a Black Sea expedition to chart a vanished Ottoman wreck. While searching, he and his colleague Al Giordino receive a frantic Mayday call from a nearby freighter—"Under attack!"—and when they investigate, they discover only death and a foul sulfur smell. As the duo explores further, a sudden blast from the freighter’s stern capsizes the ship, nearly flooding the vessel. Their investigation leads them beneath the surface to a web of intrigue linking a 1917 Romanov attempt, a Cold War bomber, and advanced drone technology. The story intensifies as contemporary threats such as nuclear smuggling, Ukrainian rebel activity, and Europol agents intersect. Pitt’s two children, a marine engineer and an oceanographer, also find themselves drawn into the perilous search for the ship’s secrets. Together they face a high‑stakes adventure filled with suspense and action.
