Books like Tin men by Christopher Golden

In the near future the United States deploys the Remote Infantry Corps, armies of robots piloted by soldiers encased in underground bases. When anarchists trigger a global pulse that shorts out electrical systems, Private Danny Kelso, Corporal Kate Wade, and their platoon become trapped inside the very robots—nicknamed the Tin Men—which the government had not warned could happen. As chaos erupts in Damascus and the G20 Summit in Athens, a cadre of security soldiers and advisors risks everything to escort the President to safety. With anarchist “Bot Killers” in pursuit, the Tin Men must navigate a gauntlet of violence across the road to Europe, torn between staying true to their mission and surviving the turmoil. The novel blends military science fiction, suspense, and action, centering on themes of technological warfare, sabotage, and the moral dilemmas of commander‑soldiers amid global terror.
