Books like Marion takes charge by Callie Barkley
When Marion finally gets the chance to watch over her little sister, she quickly realizes that babysitting is harder than she imagined. The challenge deepens when she is called to the Critter Club to help with a stray cat, a situation that requires her to bring Gabby along as well. Juggling the responsibilities of caring for children, a feline visitor, and the club’s expectations tests Marion’s patience and problem‑solving skills, making for a spirited and heart‑warming young adult tale.
Set in a cozy community where siblings, babysitters, and animal enthusiasts intersect, the story explores themes of responsibility, cooperation, and the bonds that develop when caring for others—both human and animal alike.
