Books like The cobra & the concubine by Bonnie Vanak

In the third instalment of the Khamsin: Warriors of the Wind series, "The Cobra & the Concubine" follows Badra, who seeks refuge in the Sahara but is haunted by the sheikh who stole her childhood. Her longing is compounded by the intense attraction she feels toward Khepri, known as the Cobra, a Khamsin warrior and heir to the Duke of Caldwell. Though Khepri grew up in Egypt and has ties to London, he cannot escape the burden of protecting Badra from the shadows of her past. With the relentless pull of desert winds and the looming threat of her former captor, their forbidden love tests loyalty, sacrifice, and the hope of freedom. The novel, rooted in dark romance, interweaves themes of longing, redemption, and the relentless power of memory set against the harsh landscapes of the Sahara and the golden age of the Khamsin warriors.
