Books like An Apple from Eve by Betty Neels

In the quaint Dutch city of Amsterdam, Euphemia is forced into a temporary arrangement with Dr. Tane van Diederijk, a demanding and spoiled medical student, after her landlord can no longer afford to pay the rent. Their initial encounter is anything but romantic. Tane is a perfect man, with a flawless reputation, but he has a history of being a bit too abrupt, and Euphemia is just the opposite. It's not until Euphemia gets sick, and Tane insists on accompanying her to Spain, that things start to change. Their journey together is a perfect storm of cultural differences, personal growth, and the unexpected. The story unfolds as they travel through Europe, from the bustling streets of Amsterdam to the serene shores of Spain. Along the way, they face challenges and obstacles, but their love for each other grows stronger. Tane, despite his flaws, is fiercely protective of Euphemia, and she learns to love him for who he is. Their journey is a testament to the power of love, and how it can change people and their lives.
