Books like 'Black' becomes a rainbow by Agi L. Bauer

A governess encounters a mysterious black rainbow above Grayhaven Manor, a symbol of hidden danger that tests her growing obsession with her enigmatic master.

"You made the trip for nothing." Mike insisted. Once Kristy Cunningham had spent magical summers crystal prospecting with her grandfather in Arkansas. Those summers ended with her parents' divorce. But the loving never did. And if her grandfather really was in danger then nothing--and no one--would keep her away. Not even her grandfather's partner and self-proclaimed protector, Mike Ferguson. "You can't just wander in and out of someone's life without leaving hurt behind." he accused. How could she explain she'd stayed away to keep the magic of the place alive--never knowing it could still be there for her, burning brighter than ever...

A child reflects on the meaning of being Black in this moving and powerful anthem about a people, a culture, a history, and a legacy that lives on.

THE HIDDEN DANGERS OF THE RAINBOW was the first major book to take a critical look at the New Age Movement from a monotheistic, Christian perspective. The author also addresses issues of concern to Jews and Moslems as New Age characterized "peoples of the book." Political, sociological and religious aspects of the New Age Movement are examined along with ominous parallels to former movements, included but not limited to Nazism. "Deep ecology," "spirituality," "meditation," and other New Age themes are addressed, contrasting same with Christian orthodoxy. Full page newspaper ads ran in 1982 proclaiming THE CHRIST ARE NOW HERE as well as anti-Semitic, anti-Monotheistic themes in New Age books such as those of the Theosophical Society, Lucis Trust (Alice Bailey books), and others are addressed. A section is included on how to gently help those presently embedded in the "New Age" and allied movements.

This startling new novel by Albert Wendt takes the form of a fast-moving allegorical thriller. Who are the all-powerful Tribunal and President? Who are the Hunters and the Hunted, and the allies from the depths of the city? Set in a future New Zealand where only the Citizen who asks no questions can achieve happiness, a renegade hero seeks to rescue his family in the State-sponsored Game of Life.
