In the heart of Los Angeles, a serial killer has begun a macabre assault, leaving at each scene a series of cryptic, almost indecipherable clues that form a map to the next murder. The local authorities are overwhelmed and in desperate need of expertise. Enter L, a covert super‑sleuth renowned for his solitary methods and distinctive lack of public appearances. L’s reputation is a double‑edged sword—a prized asset for the police, yet his peculiar habits and enigmatic presence complicate the investigation. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, an FBI agent named Naomi Misora steps forward to assist. As the killings continue, it becomes clear that the killer’s riddle is intentionally designed to engage L’s intellect, setting the stage for a high‑stakes battle of wits. Misora must navigate not only the grim evidence and the killer’s puzzles but also the conflicting egos and political pressures surrounding the Los Angeles murder cases.
