Books like Changing my mind by Zadie Smith
Zadie Smith’s *Changing My Mind* gathers a decade of her nonfiction, arranged into four sections—‘Reading,’ ‘Being,’ ‘Seeing,’ and ‘Feeling’—each offering sharp humor, intellectual rigor, and a keen eye on both personal and cultural subjects. The essays cover literature, movies, the Oscars, British comedy, family, feminism, Obama, Katharine Hepburn, Anna Magnani, and more, with some pieces newly published. Smith’s analysis reveals how writers such as E. M. Forster, Zora Neale Hurston, and George Eliot have shaped her own writing and self‑understanding, while her practical advice speaks directly to writers about craft and process. The result is a rich, thought‑provoking volume that invites readers, writers, and anyone curious about identity, art, and life to see the world from Smith’s unique perspective.
