Books like Slightly Married by Wendy Markham

Tracey Spadolini is on the brink of getting hitched, but a lifetime subscription to a playwright‑themed TV service turned out to be a loose metaphor for her own indecision. Her fiancé and she clash over details—whether to marry in New York City or Buffalo, how many attendants, and how the whole affair should look. Near the climax, the stress unlocks additional relationship puzzles: her friend Raphael just celebrated a gay wedding, Kate is pregnant and juggling the future, and Buckley, who has been acting oddly, breaks off his own engagement–leaving Tracey stunned that he might actually be in love with her. As the calendar races toward late‑October, Tracey, her fiancé, and their friends are forced to navigate a series of snafus that could either crack their plans or bring them together in an unexpected way. Rippled through the feel‑good fabric of a chick lit romance, the novel captures the pitfalls of modern relationships, the dynamics of friendship, and the excitement of preparing for a wedding in California’s contemporary social landscape.
