Books like Voracious by V. K. Forrest

Aedan Brigid, a hardened killer who has eliminated some of the world’s most ruthless criminals, takes a sabbatical in the quiet seaside town of Clare Point. Instead of finding peace, he is haunted by the memory of a brutal murder and the eerie feeling that a dangerous presence stalks the town. Aedan’s troubles deepen when Dallas York, the beautiful and enigmatic owner of a local bar, draws him into an instant, inexplicable attraction. But the romance is complicated by Dallas’s mysterious gift, a power that sets her apart from other humans and attracts unwanted attention. When a local woman’s body is found mutilated and the signs point to a grisly handiwork, Aedan realizes the creature behind the horror is Jay, a depraved monster he once fell for centuries ago. Now Jay’s return threatens to upend Aedan’s world, forcing him to choose between the life he has built and the love he thought he had lost forever.
