Books like The Circle series by Ted Dekker

After a mysterious incident at a coffee shop, Thomas Hunter finds himself chased through deserted alleys and suddenly loses consciousness. In the blackness that follows, he is transported to an alternate reality where his life turns into a perilous adventure. In one world, Thomas commands a fierce, primitive army as a battle‑scarred general. In the other, he confronts ruthless terrorists attempting to unleash a virus that could bring global chaos. Each time he falls asleep in one realm, he awakens in the other, with disaster looming in both—and the potential that he may be the catalyst for catastrophe. The series, known as the Circle, explores the collision of dreams and reality, weaving elements of fantasy, crime, and thriller into a high‑stakes narrative that spans worlds and challenges the limits of consciousness.
